For years, the women of Bamba village battled relentless recurrent droughts that withered their maize crops and left their families on the brink of starvation. Through the Pamoja Mbele Women Agribusiness program, Zawadi and her fellow farmers received training in permaculture and solar drip irrigation. Today, their green oasis yields year-round tomatoes, kales, and watermelons, completely altering their family economics.
